Enedemer is a full random video chat that lives in your browser. No app store, no APK, no account, no VPN.

Every "Ethiopian chat app" search leads to the same dead ends: an APK from a website you don't trust, an app store listing that needs 80MB you don't have, or a global app that doesn't work from Ethiopia without a VPN. Enedemer (እንደመር) skips all of it. It's a Progressive Web App — a real app that runs inside the browser you already have. Type enedemer.com, press START, allow the camera, and you're in a live video chat with a random Ethiopian or Habesha stranger.

Why no-download matters more in Ethiopia

• Storage is real money. Most Ethiopian users are on affordable Android phones where every app competes for space. Enedemer's entire interface is smaller than a single photo.
• Downloads cost data. An 80MB app install costs more data than an hour of actual video chatting on Enedemer (about 125MB/hour, deliberately capped for Ethiopian networks — details on the low-data page).
• No account, no barrier. There is no registration, no phone number verification, no password to forget. It also means we hold no profile data about you at all — see the Privacy Policy.
• Updates are invisible. The app updates itself the next time you open the site. You are never nagged to update and never stuck on a broken version.
• No VPN needed. Unlike OmeTV and several global chat apps, Enedemer connects directly from Ethiopia.

You can have it both ways. Because Enedemer is a PWA, your browser can install it like a native app — no store involved:

1. Open enedemer.com in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone).
2. Open the browser menu and choose "Add to Home Screen" (Chrome may simply offer an Install prompt).
3. Launch it from the icon — it opens full-screen, without the browser bar, like any app.

This is optional. The site works identically either way.

A chat app that respects the phone it runs on

Enedemer was engineered for the phones and networks Ethiopians actually use: video capped at low bitrates so calls survive weak 4G, resolution tuned for phone screens rather than desktops, and a lightweight interface that loads fast even on slow connections. Calls are one-to-one and travel peer-to-peer between the two participants — your video is never recorded or stored on our servers.

The rules, briefly

Enedemer is strictly for adults (18+). Chats are live conversations with strangers — unmoderated in real time — with a NEXT button to leave instantly and a Report button that feeds automatic restrictions against misbehaving users. The full picture is on the safety page and in the Terms of Service.
